Liebe Mitglieder,

zum 18.2.2020 laden wir gemeinsam mit dem Interdisziplinären Zentrum für 
Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung (IZWT, Wuppertal) und dem 
Laboratoire SPHERE (Paris) zu einer Tagung "Collected Works" ein. Das 
Programm finden Sie im Anhang.

Aus dem Ausschreibungstext:
"The preferred language of the workshop is English.Our aim is a critical 
analysis of the edition of collected works in historical perspective. We 
believe that these editions constitute a significant phenomenon that 
testifies to important changes in editorial and scientific practices as 
well as in cultural and political contexts. Several points may hold our 
interest:
(1) The place of these editions in the editorial and disciplinary 
landscapes and their history: what (cultural, scholarly, social, 
political…) roles did they play? What were their status? Who were the 
readers, the editors, the publishers, etc.?
(2)  The edition of texts as a scholarly practice by editors, e.g., the 
academic and scientific activity involved in the preparation of the 
edition by the actors, the possible impact of this work on the editors’ 
later works.
(3)  The choices made by the editors as shaping the edited texts: which 
texts to edit? How to edit them? Which (if any) impact did the edition 
have on the image of the published author? How were their works given to 
read to the wider audience?"
