Dear colleagues and friends, 

 

As some of you know, we are launching a new Summer School for Women in Political Economy this year at the MPIfG, in collaboration with the Political Economy Section of the German Political Science Association (DVPW).  

 

Could I please ask you to share the attached Call for Applications in your networks/departments, and especially among your PhDs/postdocs?  


The Summer School will take place for the first time from 11 to 14 September 2023 in Cologne. It is open to women, non-binary people, and people of all marginalized genders, who work in CPE or IPE at either the PhD or junior postdoc level. The program will entail a mix of substantive sessions about the state-of-the-art in different political economy subfields; work in progress sessions with chances for participants to receive feedback; practical academic skills sessions; and roundtables/discussion events about navigating and political economy as a male-dominated field.

The Summer School is fully funded, meaning that we can cover participants’ travel costs (from anywhere in Europe) and accommodation. The deadline for applications is 15 March 2023 – all we need is a CV, a short statement of motivation, and a 250-words summary of applicants’ research interests.
